We did have a really nice Kayak tour in the lagoon of Cabras with Marco from Alea Ricerca Ambiente. Kayak paddling with tandem was easy going after short instruction. We saw Flamingos and have been reported the history of the laggon and Cabras by Marco, a very friendly guide. The trip took about two hours, was reasonable, interesting and a little bit sporty. While doing backpacking in Torre Grande, randomly met at a restaurant, Marco from Alea Ricerca&Ambiente was made my stay in the area absolutely WONDERFUL. Thanks to him, while he was there at his lunchtime, I was able to rent him a BIKE so that I could discover the marvels of the area. He was not only doing \his job\ but with increbible professionalism and kindnesses he gave all the tips for discovering the area. I am normally not prone to contact any agency at all as they are (from my bad experiences) unprofessional and only up to the money and trying to sell you stuff over stuff, with hidden costs. The bikes were not always perfect for the area and extremely well maintained, but we went BEYOND with his HELPFULNESS and flexibility. His help did not stop until my bike return but went beyond on and on for the pursue of my trip in Sardegna. \La cerise sur le gâteau\ was the ride back to my camp. as public transport is not every efficent in the area. I will definitely go back to the Cabras area and have some of the excursions proposed by Alea Ricerca & Ambiente Thanks for making my experience beyond expectation. Fabricio
On the recommendation of a guide in Cagliari, we have reserved a snorkeling excursion with Marco at Alea. It turned out that we were the only ones, so it kind of was a private tour. We were able to rent all the required wetsuites and snorkeling gear, so we only had to bring swimming clothes. It was some driving and walking to the beach in Cabras, but once we were there we could spend more than an hour underwater, around the shipwreck and the neighbouring waters. This was our first snorkeling ever, so it was a huge experience for us, we saw lots of colourful fish and the huge wreck was also amazing. Marco also stopped often to explain what we saw, and after the swimming he also told us about the different species we were not able to see, and why the protection of them is important for the sea and the people living nearby. This was our best experience while in Sardinia, and also for a very good price. Marco is also very kind, he watches that the pace of swimming is good for everyone.
Marco guided me and my family for a very nice kayak tour on Cabras lake. He provided us a lot of interesting informations about the history, fauna and flora of this wonderful natural area. I recommand it !
