Amazing place. Christmas display is great and food was lush. Its so big, was def a wise choice for a rainy afternoon.

Lovely and very covid safe. 80 baskets and everyone has to take a basket so this counts how many people are in the store to a maximum of 80. If all baskets out then you have to wait your turn. Brilliant idea. But they miss a trick no take away service. I would have loved a coffee outside after shopping.
The garden centre itself was lovely, easy to park, great for kids with an aquatic centre, play area and an animal farm !! The restaurant completely let this place down for us and as a result we wouldn’t be visiting again. On arrival we were told that you need to order through the website and pay by card on your phone - which we found very easy to use and the food arrived quickly. However there were several items that were not available on the menu - we were told this after we had ordered and paid (instead it would have been polite to inform us when we sat down what was not available today). Our drinks arrived at the same time as our food - a good 20 minutes after we ordered .... the coffee was warm. There was also no option to buy a Sunday dinner for the children - which was what they wanted. Also the children’s dinner comes with a lovely little bag with colouring in, this came with the food. Now as a parent of two hungry and restless children I would have much appreciated it that these bags were brought straight away (with the drinks!) so that the children are distracted while they wait for their dinner. Finally, and most importantly I found the staff to be quite rude, particularly the man who had led us to our seats, he challenged me on not wearing a mask and also basically told me off when I attempted to buy a dessert from the till area (that had all items on display to help yourself). A little moan about this place, but for our first visit we were very disappointed at the lack of organisation and customer service - despite that the food was wonderful.
Have been going to Berkley for years to eat, shop, take children and meet friends. Also had a Grow Rewards card which used to offer a free coffee for each of us every month which was a good incentive but found out today that no longer applies. Also breakfast deals have all gone. Also there was no flexibility on the order. Really hope that Berkley get back on track soon or they will loose customers.
