We stayed in our touring caravan on the small site situated at the back of the pub. Each pitch had a hardstanding with a grassy part beside. The grass was rather long and needed cutting. Our pitch was right behind the pub and was not very level. There was a reasonable space between pitches with plenty of room for an awning. The pub had Covid security in place with a one way system and hand sanitiser at the entrance. The toilets were cleaned very regularly. We didn't use the showers as we had our own but other members of our party did. There was a booking system so that they could be cleaned in between users. We didn't eat in the pub so I can't comment on the food. When the weather was good the beer garden was very busy. This is certainly the place to get away from it all as we had no TV, radio or phone signal. The Tissington Trail is just up the road as are several other lovely walks. We had a lovely Bank Holiday weekend walking our dogs, reading and listening to some CD's.

Not a good experience, we stopped off for a drink whilst driving through and can safely say that I’ve been in doctors waiting rooms with more atmosphere. I ordered drinks with an old woman working behind the bar, only for her to start hacking and coughing up her lungs whilst pouring our drinks - not exactly what you want to experience in the midst of a global coronavirus pandemic! We swiftly decided to leave the drinks untouched and rushed back home for a shower to decontaminate ourselves!

Had a lovely lunch time meal here today. Staff very friendly and helpful. Some were eating outside at tables. Social distancing in place but not too restrictive so enjoyed venue and surroundings. Lovely country setting in peak district, camping close by.

Everyone so friendly and welcoming. Manager and staff came and chatted with us and told us about the area and great walks. The food was amazing and definitely would recommend.
