Absolutely gorgeous place! We love coming for our daily walk during lockdown and its beautiful in the snow. Can't wait to explore after lockdown and go for food and drinks around the park.

We went to the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton as a little trip out. We have two children 5 & 2 and they loved the park. The playground was really big with different sections for toddlers and older children. There is also some paid for rides such as a little train ride, fairground rides and pedalos on the boating 'lake'. However we parked on a road nearby rather than the car park as frankly it was very expensive. The Pavilion has a cafe and a little 'coffee stand:. The cafe wasn't very good as it wasn't eat inside and had a really tiny menu. We ate at a nearby restaurant. One of the other things we loved was the fact the children were able to paddle in the stream. On hot days this is great. Only issue is the water is very red due to iron workings nearby. My son splashed about in it and sadly it has marked his clothes, but he had fun so I can't moan!

Beautiful place, better to park on the main road as it's cheaper than the allocated car park. Plenty of space to walk and two play areas. A small bar that sells very expensive ice creams, toilets opened and clean on the day of our visit. A small train goes around a small portion of the park and charges 1.50 each to be paid by card only. Overall a good day out!

Beautiful park and gardens. Cafe open to sit outside (all social distancing). Interesting old buildings to see, both the Pavilion and Opera House are well preserved and in use. Some of the old town buildings and the original water fountain also interesting to see.
