We were so so impressed with both the food and the service here. Spotlessly clean, well decorated and lots of attention to detail. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were really generous. We both had toasted sandwiches and they were lovely. We had our very nervous rescue dog with us and the staff went out of their way to make her feel safe and relaxed there. She even ended up being given sausages and making friends. We will definitely come back again.

I visited Butterflies Cafe for lunch with my boyfriend, and, overall, we were really impressed. The paninis were really tasty, and the staff were happy to cater to my allergy. Everyone was also adhering to social distancing rules, despite the relatively small space. This would be a five-star review, but the tables were quite grubby, which was a bit of a shame. The cafe also wasn't accepting card payments. Still, this was a great place to visit while on holiday.
My wife and I have just spent a fortnight in Minehead and apart from the first day had breakfast at the butterfly daily . Very welcoming owner , nothing too much trouble . Usually unsliced bread with a choice of brown or white , most mornings 2 perfectly poached eggs on toast like door stops nice and thick . On 2 occasions I had the full English breakfast which was also top notch Many thanks for being pliable with your menu unlike some of the other cafés that we tried but did not stay as they stuck rigidly to scrambled eggs which we did not want . The other cafés need to remember that they are part of the service industry .
Nice little independent. Good coffee and selection of good and cakes. Give it a try.
