Not local to the area but welcomed like we'd been many times before. Asked our server about dairy free options due to allergy, the chef came out to speak to us to ask some questions and to tell us what she could do (best service I've had anywhere with regards to this) made changes to my chosen dish to make it dairy free which was excellent. Sirloin steak was amazing. Staff really friendly and helpful- nothing was too much trouble. Social distancing guidelines managed well. Just want to say a special thanks to the chef for taking extra time to come speak to me about my allergy. Thank you
Great food, pie was incredible. Staff was great as well, lovely building. A bit of quiet music in the dining area would of made it even better
The pub is so well organised with strict adherence to current precautions. It was still very cheerful and welcoming with great service and a good selection of beers. Really enjoyed our visit
Homely pub food. Don't expect airs and graces but an honest menu and tasty food. Nine of us were accommodated in the conservatory, and we were served quickly. Food was generally good - the steak pie is highly recommended, the burger much less so. Any grumbles were dealt with quickly and happily. Food is on the pricey side. Parking is limited so be aware.
