I have had no choice but to register a formal complaint today after the recent interaction I've had with this practice. I have had ongoing issues with the medical treatment received for a number of months. I requested a refund for treatment received in November/December 2020 which was poorly managed and, quite frankly, not fit for purpose. Not only was my request denied but I was then told, with less than 24 hours notice before i was due to have a further appointment - that I could only be seen for treatment if I paid a further 280 in advance of even seeing anyone. I challenged their reasoning for the additional charge and was promptly told in n email that I have been removed from the patient list and would no longer be treated there. I must reiterate that this was less than 24 hours before an appointment at which I was due to receive vital treatment. Their decision was instant, made without my knowledge or consent. I have been left in a desperate need for dental work which I now need to have done elsewhere, and yet I remain several hundreds of pounds out of pocket for incomplete work. I have never been treated so poorly as a patient. I am shocked and distressed by the way this practice conducts itself. They have shown a complete lack of professional conduct and duty of care for me as a patient. After logging formal complaints I have decided to write this publicly to warn other people of this practice's behaviour.

My family and I have used this practice for years (under previous owners) always been polite, good, clean workers in a good clean environment... Too many stairs, but pleasant reception staff, and good dentistry at the top of the stairs.. Crucial to keep NHS Dentists in town and the service here is very good.

I can highly recommend this dental practice. On my recent visit to Bury St Edmunds, I requested an emergency visit, and was offered an appointment on the same day, and was very impressed with the excellent treatment and care that I received. In my opinion, the dentist that I saw, was highly qualified and very knowledgeable, patient and empathic, and I received a high standard of treatment for my tooth that had accidentally split, and which was causing me immense discomfort, exposing the nerve. Most other dentists would have pulled my tooth out during Covid 19, and on enquiry, this was offered by my dentist in my home town. Fortunately, the dentist that I saw was very professional, and took his time in saving my tooth, for which I am highly grateful for, thank you!
