Great place for shopping, all variety of clothing, they have a coffee shop on the second level which is convenient when out and about with kids, don't forget your m&s card to get scanned after every shop

Welcoming Staff, Welcome Back Menu, Unwelcoming environment. At present an over sanitized box. It's hidden now.Overkill with spacing and screening. I suggest local management have a look at other cafe's in town, and indeed within their own group, The Fort in Manchester for example, minimal removal of tables , acceptable. Please restore a more welcoming environment to the normally throbbing unit.
Horrible experience in the food hall. I was queueing for 5 minutes or so when I was told to re-que as they were closing the till. I didn't even get an apology. It very expensive so they should really think about the customer experience if they want to survive. Aldi do it way better.
I went into M&S in Bury to look for a birthday card and a present for my friend. I couldn't choose between several lovely cards so I went and browsed the bottles of spirits. I found a tiny bottle and a mixed can of the perfect drink for my friend but could not find a larger bottle. I asked the young woman on the bread counter if she knew about the drinks which she didn't, but she fetched her collegue who was a very helpful young man. I had several food items to pay for so I went to a manned checkout as I had an alcoholic drink which needed approval. Again the assistant was a young man. All three staff were extremely helpful and friendly and gave the kind of customer service I expect from M&S. They were all very clean and tidy and well presented (and very good looking indeed) and they really are a credit to this store. I tell all my friends to visit the food store late in the day as they reduce items on their end date to ridiculously low prices. I buy some high quality food items for a fraction of the price I would pay at my local budget supermarket. Quality produce, exceptional staff and the general ambiance of the store makes a visit to M&S Bury altogether a very enjoyable experience. I don't know how clearly the picture shows today's bargains but what was over 5 worth of goods cost me 1.60.
