Nothing out of this world yummy... But it's a decent, friendly place and they have good prices. The brisket is a bit more lean than I prefer, but it's not dry. I just wish it had a bit more fat and slightly thicker cut. The toast is a nice addition. The pickles are crisp and taste home made. I'd eat a whole jar if they sold them by the jar. The Mac and cheese is just box Velveeta with maybe a hint of chili pepper. I'm sure it would be a hit if they made a from-scratch white cheese macaroni with some gouda. The fried corn bread bites are pretty tasty. However, the honey butter it comes with tastes like a tub of the store bought type, so pretty much just tastes like oily butter cream frosting. It would be way better if they served them with a copycat of the Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter.

Prrreeetty good. Negatives first; the pulled pork had too much sauce on it so the flavor of the meat was a little hidden. The membrane is left on the rack of ribs so you have the chewy membrane to get past on the underside. Nothing special about the coleslaw. And for the Blue Ribbon platter, everyone knows it will be a shared dish at 26.99 with four meats and three sides so I would suggest more than one piece of toast. Positives; Turkey was extremely tender and still moist. The burnt ends were quite flavorful and the ribs were tender. The baked beans are very tasty and the fries are something special. I would say on a scale of 1 to 10 this place is a good 8&1/2 almost 9 and I'm comparing to Q39 because that's my fave. we will definitely be back and we will most certainly talk the place up to our friends.

Ordered ahead online simple enough? Called for curbside pickup however after sitting on hold for 17 minutes I went inside to discover they didn’t make my food. Waited for someone to come out and tell me they didn’t even have the food I ordered at the store...didn’t get a refund, or my food

Overall: 1) Best BBQ place of the four we’ve tried in KC within this general area Pros: 1) Not expensive and feels slightly more informal (no waiters/waitresses) 2) Tasty food 3) Lean meat (not super fatty) 4) Good selection of food choices 5) Filling Cons: 1) I swapped my sandwiches side to “fried cornbread bites”, and it was just a square of normal cornbread... 2) 3 to get four onion rings doesn’t feel worth it
