Lovely little cafe, really friendly staff. I had a brew and a bowl of homemade carrot and coriander soup. The soup was served with a slice of crusty buttered wholemeal bread. It was delicious and by the chunks of carrot in it I could tell it wasn't out of a packet. I felt like I'd had a full meal when I left. Wonder if their pies are homemade. I may have to go back and find out.

Wonderful atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble. After a lovely cuppa you can buy some magic trousers! They're fantastic! Everyone needs a pair of 2.

This place is a quirky little café on the corner of windy street in the middle of Padiham. From the outside it's appearance is that of confusion. It's windows are covered in writing that's different coloured and I think it was a description of what they serve but it's that jumbled and written in a certain style that it's a chore to even begin to read it. It kind of looks like some kind of arts and craft shop at a glance. It's not a contemporary look or modern but more like it's been thrown together and with what ever they could find. It just doesn't look like a café in my opinion. Anyway.... Upon entry you are presented with in the interior that's yet again, everywhere. It's as though they've chosen to attempt every idea and it just looks thrown together at will. Unfortunately it looks a little shoddy in places like the table coverings that are worn and they just don't look clean. With all the bits and bobs that decorate the place I bet they don't dust and polish for instance because it would take a job and a half every day to get it done. So it's not one hundred percent clean but at the end of the day the lady that served me was lovely and polite and the cheese pie was really really good! The exception was that they didn't do chips and a second lady who wasn't as polite as the first and who was probably the owner explained that instead she did small roasted potatoes and that they were better for me. Afterwards, speaking again she asked if I'd been converted to having these well done little spuds and I basically said that I would of preferred chips to which she replied 'There's a greasy spoon down the road' because she didn't like going home smelling of chip fat. Obviously, the customer is not always right in her opinion. I might go again but it's not the only café in the world. Is it?
