My grandmother has never been happier since being here, her needs increased and priory court made it so much easier for her and the family. We now have our happy grandmother back thanks to all the staff at priory court. Such high standard of care and compassion and will always be thankful for all their support.
Far from being a care home. In a period of 3 weeks, my Nan went from being able to walk on her own using an aid, feeding herself and drinking from a mug to being sat in a wheel chair, unable to lift her head or feed/drink herself. A combination of malnutrition, toxic poisoning from medication and neglect caused this. Thankfully she had family around her, so we removed her. After several weeks she is now back to how she was before going near The Priory. I would avoid going anywhere near the place.
I have been the Relations Manager at Priory Court for the last 6 months and I took the job because it was one of the few homes I would be happy for my own parents to come to. So I do not recognise the neglect that one reviewer has posted here - the only negative reviewer, I should point out. The staff here are amazing and I am still taken aback every day by the caring and positive attitude they have for every single resident.
My mum in law spent 2-3 weeks in there to return home with burns on her stomach. No explanation given til complaint went in to say mum got burned by soup or gravy is just wrong as who in thier right mind gives someone food that's scolding. It's disgusting to think our loved ones are supposed to be cared for and instead they get injuries that are not explainable. Please people reconsider before putting your loved ones here. When my husband visited his mum there was staff there but nothing is done unless go through the head nurse, even residents refusing to go into rooms because they knew that they would be neglected.plus mum can't have anything that is hot and relys on a carer to have her best interests at heart.
