The best shawerma in town and I've tried them all. Its a small building so its mostly carry out, but its always the small and rundown spots that have the best food. Because they don't care or try to wow you with the decor and ambiance. They focus on what really matters, the food.

Nobody ever tells you that you can't come here with a credit card, you need cash. If you don't, they conveniently have an atm machine right next which charges you 1 for cash withdrawal. It's almost like people are paying 1 extra for their order if they don't bring cash. The food served was barely warm, not hot. Just barely warm. The blonde hair guy seemed energetic. The other guy seemed uninterested while taking the orders. I had to reheat the food for a min at high in the microwave just so that I could feel the food is hot. The portions offered are generous for the price. Remember to always bring cash and reheat the food for a min once you get home. Food is pretty tasty although not really hot. It feels like it was just taken from a warmer and served.
I've been to The Best Shawarma several times, and throughout that time, I've tried other places, but none can compete or come close to the deliciousness of the shawarma, the generosity of the owner who makes the shawarmas himself, the amount of meat and chicken he puts is incredible, the cleanliness of the place and the affordable prices. I love shawarma and I've tried them not only in Illinois, but also in Texas and California, and this place is by far the best I've eaten at, the closest one to the shawarma in Jordan. Extremely recommend it to anyone who wants a good delicious meal to eat, once you decide to go there, make sure you are hungry, and don't forget to try the french fries and falafels too. Enjoy!!
