Bull Inn

What a beautiful pub. This 17C period pub is inviting enough from Linton Hill. Park the car round back and prepared to be gobsmacked by the well manicured garden and veranda area. Inside the decorative candy continues. Fire places are decorated with taxidermist’s offerings of the best of local wildlife. Staff at The Bull Inn are down to earth, warm and welcoming. The pub is large and accommodating, plenty of bright and dark corners to choose. The food choice is good too, there is an effort to present something new, yet rustic, on their specials board. That I commend.

Popped into having walked up the hill from our Airbnb. The only pub in the village so popular with the locals but welcomed by friendly staff who directed us as appropriate. There's a lush decking area looking east, so the views across the valley are superb and perfect for the sunset. A bar outside means ordering of both drinks and food is easy. We chose the veggie burgers which we were amazing. A couple of pints, good food and company - no complaints here.

We went for lunch yesterday. So nice to be back. Felt very safe here. Everything was very well organised and the lunch was delicious as always. Good luck to you all..Will be back soon.

Sunday roast carvery. Beef, turkey & pork with Yorkshire stuffing & pig in blanket plus all usual trimmings/vegetables. Very tender meats, tasty too. Can't fault that. Yorkshire a touch over crusty and the stuffing too but a minor complaint really. A worthy 5 stars if you take friendliness or the staff and the pleasant pub. Go outside for the terrace and view over the country and it completes a lovely lunch. I've even been here late afternoon when a hot air balloon graced us with a fly by. Never been disappointed here. Highly recommend.
