Dropped in on a whim as we were passing through and needed food. What a surprise, accommodated us without a booking as with social distancing measures in place, bookings usually fillup. Ordered off the two course menu and \oh my lord\ was it a delicious hearty festive meal, very pleased and my other half devoured the Chestnut and Cranberry roast! Will be booking a table next week!

We had a meal here and the food for me was very expensive, I had sausage and chips but the gravy was very strong so it kind of ruined my meal, they are adhering to the social distance rules and it is a really nice pub, the onion rings are huge but they were very greasy. Overall not a bad pub to eat.
Good food with decent portion sizes but a little pricey. Worth visiting for a special occasion.
Friends and I had Sunday lunch it was delicious and very well presented, puddings where lovely glad I missed out my breakfast to make room. The covid measures are spot on we felt very safe the fire was roaring and the beers went down well. Thank you to all the staff at The Bull and Dog highly recommended
Good service and the food was very tasty, generously sized and actually cooked to perfectiin, which is a rarity for a medium rare steak. The onion rings were perfect. I don't often say that. But yrs, crispy light batter and firm onion. Excellent. Seems well run.
