Topokki is little spicy to me even though I like spicy food. However, the topokki is very delicious. Moreover, fish cake and fish cake soup is excellent.

The food was good. If you like more spicy food, Yupdduk may be a better option. However, what Jopok Topokki offers is variety of foods and a darn tasty Topokki. Topokki means sautéd rice cakes which is rice cakes in a spicy sweet sauce. You can get fried food and Korean sausage to also dip in the sauce. Very good and highly recommended. BTW, Jopok means gangster and the chain is popular in Korea and started near a trendy college area called Hongdae.

With my Korean background, I would say with bias that this is one of my favorite restaurants that I've eaten at out of the many that I've visited. The food was absolutely wonderful and the chalkboard was pleasing to look at with the neat handwriting and cute pictures. There was only one server that was very busy with the many customers but she made sure to check up on us; I would say that she is very sweet. The cheese topokki is the best one I've ever had, the ratio between the cheese and the rice cakes and fish cakes were equal; I love cheese with my topokki. The blood sausage was the most popular with my family, it wasn't too soft or hard. The odeng matched up to my tastes as well; I loved eating it from the long wooden stick, it made me feel like I was eating at a food cart in Korea, where they are very commonly seen. Although, it was very long and I occasionally hit my sister who was sitting next to me, but it wasn't really a problem. Overall, I would love it visit again, it was nice having traditional Korean food during my vacation.
