Great day out. Lots of space to explore. The Canada Geese have now arrived for their British holidays. Good variety of food at the cafe or you can take a picnic. The train ride was enjoyable and enabled us to see parts of the grounds we would not have walked to. Only downside is the tricky online booking system that took my money but failed to produce a ticket. The day was saved by the very nice front desk staff who on my arrival found my online booking and sorted everything out for us. However an improved online booking system is needed to avoid giving customers unnecessary stress as it looked like my money had disappeared down a blackhole. There were no humans on the end of the telephone line to give assistance another minus point.

A wonderful collection of mature trees from all around the world. Impressive Italian garden layout with fine mirror lake; good pinetum and many other good features including a grand collection of shells in the shell house. An interesting day out.

This place is a wonderful day out for all of the family. There is a lot of trees, nature and wildlife. All of this is accompanied by many paths, for relaxing walks, with play areas, and a train ride (which was not open probably due to covid ). All ages can enjoy some fresh air, exercise and fun with a cheap day out.

A wonderful day out with stunning gardens to walk around with water features, trees & flowers. Lots of ducks walking around. Dogs are welcome on leads, be sure to take your own water for them. There are large indoor & outdoor play areas for children. Lots of space for picnics and the kids to run around. The indoor soft play only accepts cash for entry (1) and food & drinks but it's a great soft play with lots for the kids to do. There's toilets & baby change facilities. One thing I noticed is there's plenty if bins around but just for general rubbish, no recycling bins which could be put in place. It has a nice gift shop with reasonable prices .
