This is a fantastic, slightly subterranean place with bartenders should enough not to need (or have) a menu. Frankie was fantastic and made me three excellent drinks with just a few seeds of info. Stayed longer than I'd planned just to see what was next. Highly recommend. Good option for atmosphere in an area filled with dives. Bonus: Barber shop in the back.

Loved this place really and truly! We asked for something with Mango, and there it was, tasteful, exciting with all the love for their profession in a drink. Go and try!
Service was very slow and inattentive, the cocktails were mediocre at best and we waited 30 minutes for two of their “recommendations” (seems more like he just wanted to make something easy). Overall a very disappointing experience and an evening that left us feeling a little annoyed and overlooked. The decor however, is quite nice and since it was one of the bartenders birthday, they get a second star as benefit of the doubt. The takeaway here: don’t believe the hype, cheaper and better options exist nearby.
(13/10/2017) - Our first drinks in Budapest at Hotsy Totsy were amazing! We were recommended to go here by a friend and ever since I have always recommended Hotsy Totsy as a place to go to for other people visiting Budapest. We had free popcorn & sparkling water for our table and WOW their strawberry daiquiri was amazing! We loved this bar and we thought the concept of it being a barbers by day and bar by night was amazing! A great little place and so cool!

Staff are so friendly and knowledgeable. The bar has a really cool concept, instead of menus youre asked to tell your waiter the flavours and styles of drinks you enjoy and they'll make you something based on that. We had a great experience and they absolutely nailed the drinks. Ambience is really chill and a great vibe, with good music, not too loud. Probably worth booking ahead as it gets busy on the weekends!
