Cool place with lots of 1st and 2nd world war items. Recommend moving faster through the Neolithic & Roman area, it's mostly rocks and pots (unless you're into those). Unfortunately, the outside area with large vehicles (planes, tanks, etc.) Is closed for restoration until 2023.

Astonishing museum! I didn’t believed that such important historical pieces could be seen ! I hardly recommend even for nationals!

Great potential and assets, poor implementation. More stories to link all the exhibits and provide context would be helpful. Definitively needs more interest from the authorities.

Such a sad place. Its like visiting a relicve of a comunist view of history. If you have an hour or two you can step in and see 3 floors of maps tracing military history that took place on the present teritory of Romania and maquettes of old forts, castles. Sad parts: no museum shop, you can not visit the whole place, it needs funding to be brought in the 21st century.

Great collection of items from a really wide range of dates. The exhibit could be a bit more interactive, but for a history buff it is a must! Note none-Romanian speakers. Roughly 80% of items have dual explanations (Romanian & English) but the rest are not.

From flint arrow heads to Soviet ballistic missiles - there's a whole lot of weapon history here. A big courtyard with dozens of artillery pieces, tanks, even a MiG15. Unfortunately most of these pieces aren't maintained so well, so they slowly rust away which is a shame. Also English translations is sporadic and missing in a lot of places. Still great fun and interesting, and just 20 Lei for an adult

Wonderful museum! I've been here before, and they have really done a lot with the place. It's very modern now compared to how it was before, and the maps are awesome. That's my favorite part. So many maps displaying how these territories changed hands so many times over the years. Love this place. Would definitely go back!

Great place to visit in Bucharest, hosting an impressive collection of objects from the Romanian military history. It covers all the historical times from the bronze age to contemporary present day. Make sure you also go to the courtyard behind the main building where for real size military equipments like tanks, guns, trucks & even aircrafts. As well, there are 3 other pavilions situated in the back of the main building that host collections of military transport vehicles & chariots, military uniforms & weapons. Prices range from 5 lei (children & students) to 20 lei (adults). Just make sure you have cash with you because you can't pay by card at the entrance.
