It surprises me how this place receives such great reviews about the food. It is listed as THE place to try Rocky Mountain Oysters. If that is what you are known for than it shouldn't come out tasting like it was fried hours before and reheated for service. The steak my friend ordered looked amazing, the Buffalo Prime Rib was good (they can keep that awful frozen salmon on the combo), and the rattlesnake queso was alright. However, most of the food was cold and our Server wasn't very friendly. Definitely not worth the 160 bill, and I wouldn't go again.

We had tangie as our waitress and she was amazing. Super nice and super knowledgeable about the history of this place. The rattlesnake dip and quail was our favorite. The one thing I felt was missing in this place was music. Whether it be some old classic saloon type music or old country. I felt that could add a bit to the ambiance of this place.

Last time I was in Denver I wanted to come here and failed. But I finally made it and I was not disappointed. The service was great and friendly. When I walked in I thought I was in an old wester movie. I had the High Plains Buffalo Prime Rib. It had never had it. I also had a bit of the Elk and that had great flavor. Next time I come I will try a different cut. @raulvsfood

Couldn’t wait to get here as I road the light rail from the airport here. It saddens me that I must leave a one star review. This is strictly about the food. The service was wonderful, and the building and its history of course are amazing. The food simply does not match. I would think that the dishes would be a little more crafted and creative with that the food would be of high quality and freshness for the prices. It seems like a nostalgia menu. For tourist. The flavor was bland and the food was cold. I think working with a chef to improve the menu and make sure the food is fresh when it comes out will make this place a must go. I’ll wait

Very very good food... 1st time there and I'm for sure coming back for more. Everything from rattlesnake, duck, elk and Buffalo had a great flavor, I couldn't stop eating.. Then with all the history there was cool... one of the oldest buildings in denver.... gotta try this place out...
