If you enjoy a hike and don’t have a fear of heights, then you will enjoy! We visited in Aug and had to park on the side of the main road and walk down the extremely muddy side road. You then go right when you hit the grass - there are some slightly visible walking tracks but no signs. Best footwear is wellies/waterproof. Beautiful ruins but it has a skinny path and a cliff on both sides to get through the gate - be careful! Another beautiful spot in Scotland!

Splendid castle, very few people around it (we haven't seen any actually). Very scenic at the sunset, must do if in the area. If you enter it, be careful as the entry is is rather steep and narrow. You can also observe several different bird species with the cliffs next to it !
Great to finally be able to stand on the grounds of the family castle. Immense sense of amazement in how they were able to build in this dangerous environment all those years ago.
Very hard to access, no path to the castle you must find your own way. Not much of castle is left but scenery is spectacular
