Have been there 3 nights so far. We are staying in a cottage across the street, but is has to be good to keep going back. Every meal has been fresh and delicious. Chicken fajitas in a Scottish pub? Yes, go for it. Had the breaded mushrooms tonight and they were fabulous. Every soup has been amazing and satisfying. Highly recommend visiting this pub.

Went in for Sunday afternoon late lunch. We were only 2 in for eating although bar area sounded busy. I ordered breaded mushrooms for starters and they were just awful. Over cooked and rock hard. Other half had homemade soup. It was a good bowlful and he said it was good. We both ordered steak pie. Huge portion stacks of meat in it topped up with puff pastry. It was delicious. Home made chips as well. The steak pie was fab and well worth it. Would go back just wouldn't have the mushrooms. Staff pleasant and courteous.

Goodness where do I start about as welcoming as the pub in An American werewolf in London... Freezing cold and only a few grizzled locals at the bar. Place smelled so damp and moldy... We were given a seat through the back where some lo als were sitting not eating but just taking up space. The tables were dirty and the menus had food spilled on them and the placemats stuck to the table.... We made a quick escape and lived to fight another day
