Founded in 2005, JADD is a cultural Association for promotion and diffusion of experimental, avant-jazz and improvised music. The organization, which is based in Bucharest / Romania, promotes and supports artists working in free improvisation, experimental musics and other new forms of art. JADD brings composers and musicians from across the world to present their work to local audiences. JADD is equally committed to helping Romanian composers and musicians realize special projects with potential impact on their careers. The organization commissions new works and encourages joint performances with visiting artists. In 2008, JADD ASSOCIATION was the main partner and a co-producer of the JAZZ AND MORE festival in Sibiu, Romania. "ATELIERELE DE IMPROVIZATIE JADD" is a project of JADD ASSOCIATION and have consisted till now of 8 concerts in Bucharest with artists like Ken Vandermark/ Paal Nilssen-Love, The Thing (Mats Gustafsson, Paal Nilssen Love, Ingebrigt Haker Flaten),Talibam! ( Matt Mottel, Kevin Shea), Ilia Belorukov, Survival Unit III ( Joe McPhee, Fred Lonberg Holm, Michael Zerang), The Ex , Volcano The Bear, Ab Baars and Ig Henneman.
