Great wee niche cafe/restaurant. The food is all fresh and from sustainable sources. I had the twice baked parmesan souffle, it was delicious!! Now, I'm no great lover of salads (rabbit food) but the accompaniment for this dish was just great, tasty, crunchy. Tina had the coastal board and she was over the moon with it. Reasonably priced and sitting outside, in September, in Scotland, is a definite bonus.

Another lovely lunch at Buchanan's. Good menu choices, tasty food and perfectly sized portions for each course. And friendly and knowledgeable staff too.
Delicious food, but horrible service! Despite most tables being empty we were told that they are fully booked, fine we can eat outside. Half an hour later, seeing that tables are still empty inside, we asked if we can be moved, as with a toddler proper table is a must for comfortable eating. We moved inside, but all of our food and drinks were served in a cardboard, as a takeaway. For the money you pay, eating from a very small cardboard container with wooden fork/knife was very uncomfortable and not worth the price. Would not be visiting again, had awful exprience and food was way too expensive.
Well managed Covid safe environment. Food excellent especially the chunky soup - a great take on French onion soup. Great service and lovely view.
