It shows you what some individuals are capable of. This place is not a touristic attraction, it is a Memorial Site and it should be treated so so be quite and follow the guide and hear stories that will blow your mind. Be prepared for more than 4 hours of walking, listening and sightseeing. It has 2 sites, the guide will explain well how to take the buss for site 2. You can park the car close for 10 polish zlots (2,2 euro) for an entire day.

Auschwitz-Birkenau was a very interesting experience. To visit the place is to live history. We are Brazilian and we took the guided tour in Spanish, we understand the whole explanation. we went there on a summer day it was very hot, I recommend doing this tour on a cooler day.

This place is guided with so many different languages and My guide was following us in English. His English was really good and made a really amazing explanation. Place is protected and full of memories and sad history. There is no obligation for photos but as a respect to the people who died, we are asked to take no photos in some sensitive areas of the camp. Both camps are linked together with a shuttle and it is every 10 mins. If you are visiting the camp, you must book a place in advance through the website. During winter its so cold. be ready for this.

Such a thought-provoking place to visit and a must-do for somebody wanting to understand what can happen if we place extreme prejudice on certain communities of people. You learn how this abhorrent period of time happened and shock...it initially started because of money! Even on a nice and sunny day like when I visited you still feel very uneasy with what occured here whilst walking around. RIP to all those who where murdered.

This is one of the most intense and saddest places I've ever visited. The place just makes you feel awful, the energy is so strong. The sheer size of this place speaks volumes of how many were treated abominably Weird how every picture I've seen, it's overcast.

Amazing place, definitely worth a visit. We had a knowledgeable guide to explain its history.

Went on a guided tour so learnt alot. I was really saddened by how another human being can be so ruthless, sick, monstrous act to other human beings. This really upset me all day after seeing the conditions they were put threw and for the unlucky souls that went to the gas chambers . But with the help of my boyfriends reassurance I slowly came threw.
