I had the chicken with black pepper and lemon mayonnaise. Unlike other places the mayonnaise complemented the chicken instead of overpowering it. Also this is the only place I got a pot of filter coffee. We will definitely be back.

We sat upstairs and had food and drinks for lunch. The place was fairly busy, location ideally and dining room was lovely and traditional. Food and drinks selections was very good. We ordered hot chocolate and latte caramel and for food we got a cheese and ham sandwich with soup and meat and potato pie with chips and gravy. Pie was excellent, and my partners soup was also very good. Sandwich was good but nothing special. Drinks did come after the food arrived however upon paying the lady did apologies for the drinks arriving late which was good customer service to acknowledge the slight error. Overall our experience was satisfactory and would return again.

Such a shame a lovely location and a very tempting place to eat with a selection of beautiful looking pastries on display. But we had a full English each and we're disspointed. Firstly it was not even lukewarm, secondly the eggs were overdone. No dippy yolk there. But thirdly, and mainly, I'm not sure what they cook the mushrooms in but it tastes like sea water. The saltiest thing I've ever eaten.
