We really enjoyed our afternoon hunt at brush Dale farm. We took a peek at The hunting Lodge, and definitely would enjoy staying here! Mark and Michelle we're very friendly and helpful, and they were able to squeeze us in on a very last minute planned hunt. The cover in the fields was very good, with a wide variety of grasses and plenty of places for the birds to hide. I also like the way it was set up, not like some pheasant farms that have little tiny strips of cover- we were hunting and in a massive field with loads of cover. The pheasants acted just like wild birds, and we sure didn't get them all. It was my first time shooting chukar, and they flew hard, but they definitely liked running until the dog was about to get dinner before they flushed:) I am planning another hunt here in the spring.

While I haven't been hunting here yet, I did purchase a Small Munsterlander from Michelle and have been very happy with that decision. Michelle is an expert on these canines and has several herself that happily greeted us when we walked in. The guidance and best practice tips she has for training are extremely helpful as we continue to raise our new puppy, and I look forward to returning to hunt their expansive and beautiful preserve. Highly recommend if you're looking for your next hunting companion or looking for a great hunting preserve in North Eastern Iowa.
I love my yearly visit to Brush Dale Farm !! Always a great time in the Hawkeye building, food, fun, friendship, Fellowship, Iowa Hawkeye football and fantastic hunting !! Many thanks to Dale, Judy ,Michelle and Mark for your friendship !! God loves you and so do I !! Dorsey Love
