Its Friday, it's the weekend! Despite the covid threat we are spending a weekend in Bristol and in particular around Clifton. We've had a few drinks in the Quadrant around the corner and now we are hungry. This was our third choice as the others were fully booked. Small and intimate and not particularly welcoming, this curry house is the only one I have known that has a \joss stick\ aroma throughout....quite weird. The food was ok, annoyingly small wine glasses for our red wine and even more annoying you are not permitted to share a main course!! Ah well....there loss because we just ordered less side dishes. It was pleasant enough but nothing special....

I bought and collected a takeaway last week. When I arrived home I found that the mango chutney I had ordered was missing. I phoned them up and was told that they would look after me on my next visit. I accepted this although it did not rectify the immediate problem. ( Personally, I find papadum a tad bland on their own ) I returned this week and ordered another takeaway, reminding them that the mango chutney was missing from my order the previous week. I was offered double mango chutney at no extra cost this week... I declined the offer. When I paid my bill the cost of the mango chutney was deducted... GREAT !! I did not have to pay this week for something that had been missing last week spoiling the meal that I had paid for. What a lucky fella I am I will not be returning. ( Full Stop )

Have been getting take away occasionally for the last few years. Always thought the food was somewhat bland and the curries just different flavours of slurry, but it's the nearest take-away to me so I've put up with it. Got a take-away last week and this is my 3.95 spring roll order - 2 miniature spring rolls about the size of my thumb (not sure how to add picture to my post? - have added it to general set of pictures)

This was my birthday meal. Arrived only to be told table had been given to someone else. I'd chosen this 'restaurant' as the place to celebrate my birthday. I think (what actually happened) is that they overbooked the restaurant and they gave away our table without any phone call. We were trying to find a parking space in one of the most difficult areas in Bristol to park. Seems even during Covid that 6 people can turn up unannounced and take our table?! The main guy lied to me saying he called me that afternoon to confirm the booking - he didn't I had no missed calls. When I said I would write this review he said 'go on then'..... So we were offered a table 40 mins later? if you think that's acceptable then you're very much mistaken. If this is the level of care at the front door I hate to think what they're cooking up back in the kitchen. You don't deserve to be in business treating your clientele this way.

Good food. Authentic Indian, been around for a long time and still standing strong through lockdown.
