I treated my elderly mother to breakfast this morning. I requested a poached egg instead of fried egg and also replace soda bread with a potato bread. Was told I cudnt cuz kitchen was busy. No social distancing at all. Been here a few times but after the experience today will not b returning.

Attended a wedding reception here. Nice setting for it. Good meal and pleasant staff.
Lovely architecture. We dropped by to look at the exterior on a Friday afternoon during Aug (social distancing still in place). However, on the off chance, we glanced in to see the tea rooms were open and only 2 tables (in a large room) were occupied. So we went in. Had lovely tea and cake for a family celebration. The cleaning and disinfecting being done was extremely thorough and I felt reassured by it. Expensive enough for a piece of cake (4.95) in my opinion. But it was an occasion, so we enjoyed it.
Friendly staff with social distancing not being a problem and felt very safe. Will be back soon. Food good as well
