How now? Real pub food made from scratch. Best steak pudding I can remember. Hand cut chips (not rocket science) bit dry but pretty good. Gravy lovely! Peas are Good Peas are Good! Good pint of Bowl-land. Nice lawn.

We stumbled on this pub on the first day of our Air b n b stay and went back every day! The food is incredible... fresh, hearty, served piping hot and lots of choice. The service is incredibly efficient and friendly. We were made to feel more at home in this pub in 3 days than our own local. Incredible. Will come back to Chatburn just to visit this place!
Great service, even better food. Steak and ale pie with chips and mushy peas. The pie was about 5cm deep rammed full of delicious meat. A huge piece too. Proper gravy, it was all so nice!
Amazing food and a fantastic drinks menu. The service was faultless and the staff were knowledgeable regarding their menu. Highly recommended.
Excellent food, prompt service and a clean, tidy, comfy ambience. I should have read the menu thoroughly as they apparently offer 2 types of beef baguette - one which is carved roast beef with onions and gravy and one which is quick-fried steak with onions but no gravy. The second is twice the price. I didnt want gravy on my bread because it goes soggy. I also asked for my meat pink... And it's for this reason I've marked them down as surely they should have picked up that I was expecting it to be cooked to order. I ended up paying 18 for a steak baguette and I had to pay for both since it was my error.
