Great food and friendly service. Staff very knowledgeable about gluten free, baked my wife her own gluten free bread. Cheese plate had real raw honey... yum!

The food was delicious and the focus on seasonal, regional ingredients is a definite plus. I'd avoided this restaurant because of mediocre reviews, but I am so glad I went anyway. My experience was far better than those indicated by some of the other reviews, and I can't wait to go back.
I've only been here for brunch and it is great. Delicious food! The benedicts are quite tasty and the drinks are good too. Their beer selection is small but great. They also have a separate gluten-free menu, which always scores some extra points. The waitstaff is very attentive and friendly. It is a little pricey so its only a "once-in-a-while establishment." Also, make sure to make reservations for brunch. It tends to get busy.
After two visits: Expensive. Miserable food. Nice Atmosphere. Pleasant staff. Why even write a bad review? The food was so bad I'm compelled. You'd expect from the menu and price this place would deliver on something -- the cheese plate and kids pasta plate where the only winners. Brown edged Caesar salad. Steak that was half over cooked with ridiculous browning sauce.
Food - Try their mushroom bread pudding with a cup of the fish chowder. Interesting combination of flavors! Ambiance - So cozy. As the name suggests, they have a functional fireplace.
Aspires to be a fancy place, but the food is very poor. Fries tasted like those bought frozen from the supermarket and heated in the oven. Our 3-year old had pizza from the kid's menu and it was just terrible. To be fair though, the service was fast and helpful.
I appreciated the focus on regional ingredients. The food is decent but not spectacular. Their is a bar that is nice for dining l, too
Waited 30 min for the waiter to show up and then left hungry. Not the first time when we had to wait 15 min for a waiter. Food is usually great, but service has been going downhill for the past 4-6 months. Not going back any time soon.
