One of the greatest castles on the west coast of Scotland, this I structure is a perfect example of medieval architectural achievement in terms of building and design, perching this 4 story castle on top of a defensive volcanic promotory. The castle is in a poor state now, so care should be taken near it (and no one should ever attempt to enter it in any way) but one to see while it's still here.
Great scenery and views! The castle is a ruin but it is still lovely
No facilities, no gift shop, no toilets. Perfect!
