Wow what a change... had lunch there today our first visit for months, it was like the staff had been given happy pills. Nothing like our.last visit everything was just perfect, the food, the service, I couldn't find fault with our visit today so I have booked again for tomorrow. Thanks to the staff for making our meal just perfect. Give them all a big pay rise, they are fantastic people. Thank you all. XX ROG.

Was not as good as my regular Toby Carvery. Tea was served in a cup, I like a teapot as you get more tea. I don’t know if I came at the wrong time of day ( 13:30) but he meat was dry and fatty, sort of like the dregs. I had to wash the cutlery in the toilets as they weren’t quite clean. Had to go up and ask for sugar for the tea. Had to ask for serviettes. Food was not hot enough, lukewarm and cold by the time I was a third of the way through. I couldn’t find any menus around either to see what there was. Could be very good with a few changes.
The best value for money. There were three of us, and we had three meals, three drinks, three desserts, and two sides, and it all came up to just 51! The staff were friendly, and the food was very nice. The only thing I’d say is that chicken should definitely be on the carvery menu as well. I really don’t know why it isn’t.
The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is I've never given. Having said that I went there just before we entered 3rd tier. The whole place was covid secure, but, it didn't feel like it the staff (who wore masks) were excellent. The carvery was also very good, hot and tasty. For a pub atmosphere and good it was at the top of the list. Hoping to visit again as soon as the tiers allow. Well worth a visit.
The food was good. Reasonably priced, lots of options. The new lamb option was delicious. Very busy, probably should book in advance. Very LGBT friendly.
We were looked after by June, who was first class and is an absolute credit to your business. Standard Toby Carvery food as you'd expect but service was worth leaving a review I also echo other reviews in asking you to pass this on to June - and like the review before suggests - definitely deserving of a pay rise. Brilliant customer service!
Had a wonderful meal!! Everything was just lovely!! Callum and Duncan, the 2 servers were very nice and made sure me and my husband got everything we needed. Ryan, was a lovely young man, helped us to our seats and explained everything wonderfully. Our waitress, June, was so friendly and lovely!! All in all, we will definitely be back.
My first ever visit to Toby carvery and I was well received. I met by a friendly member of staff and seated at my table. The guy who served was very informative and helpful. I felt welcomed. I had king-size carvery and was stuffed afterwards. The decor need updating but that's only downside. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and if I ever find myself near to a Toby carvery again I would definitely reconsider. Price was also very reasonable. It was cold and wet when I went so a Toby carvery filled me up and left me feeling satisfied. Thanks Toby carvery!
