We love Zoos and Bristol Zoo is an old favourite. The best part was by far the reptiles. It’s a small Zoo compared to Chester and others we have visited. It still has it’s charms. The grounds are kept tidy, and there is a lot of information and helpful staff. My children love big cats and were so pleased to see a Lion up close, but also sad as the enclosure didn’t look that big. I am sure it was more significant behind the promenade. The variety of animals that they care for is pretty good, and there is plenty to see. Still worth a visit if you are tagging it onto something else in Bristol. There was a food area, the food was very good, and the kids were happy, that is a miracle. The meerkats were extraordinarily entertaining, and it was pleasant to learn all about them there. A lovely day out.

Lovely zoo, currently one way system but are welcome to travel around more than once if needed. Lots of different animals to see. Alot of information on the animals to read which is great. Would come back again. Child friendly, wheelchair access to most areas that I can remember.

A lovely little zoo. Good prices for entry and the little restaurant, which is take away only at the moment, is fairly well priced to. The animals are all in lovely condition as are all the enclosures. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are toilets dotted all around the area which is very handy. We had a wonderful time and is was a real pleasure to see the 2 week old baby gorilla up close. A lovely place to visit.

Really good compact zoo to visit. Great range of smaller animals. Was lucky enough to get a glimpse of the new baby gorilla being hand-reared. Staff are really helpful and wheelchair access is good. A range of things to see outdoors and in so a good option for a showery day.
