I would give 0 stars if this was an option. Rented a Luton vehicle on 17/01/2020 the owner was very rude beforehand but we were left with little options due to places being booked up and this place being local. Gets very stroppy if you ask any questions so figure things out yourself lol. We picked up the car on the day and again the owner was very rude, spoke to his staff and they seem to think the same thing which says a lot! He showed us to our vehicle and showed us all the dents/damages outside the car, having rented cars before in the past they only really show us outside. everything was fine Until it started it raining on the way there (40 mins drive to our destination) we started unloading our things out of the van to see our mattresses not just damp it was absolutely soaked! A lot of our belongings were damaged our two mattresses which were brand new were 600 alone! The floor was obviously covered and the side as we wouldn’t want it on the floor anyway but that was no help because the leak was coming from the roof! It was clear skies on the day and the day before so we would of never been able to see this leak even if he did show us the inside. Obviously this vehicle was not fit for purpose and I’m sure they were aware of that also. To make matters worse my partner and my father went to return the vehicle and the owner was incredibly racist my father doesn’t speak much English and he thought it was ok to ridicule him about that. We did not get at least a refund even though we should really be getting for some kind of compensation for our damaged goods so we will be taking this further. This has been posted on social media as I’ve given the owner the chance to correct things I will be contacting trading standards and will go as far as to taking them to court. If anyone has shared a similar experience then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Rented a VW transporter van yesterday, what a great experience! Phil made the process straighforward and simple, honest and realistic approach. The van was nearly brand new, and so easy to drive. The loading area was protected and covered with plywood, which made moving things in an out safely a real help. My daughter was moving house and 4 full van loads later, we were done. This is a roomy van and I was amazed with the amount we moved ! Returned the van and a quick check over, and that was it! One very happy dad and customer ! Thanks Phil for a great service and a price to match ! No hidden charges, no extras...just no problems! Brilliant!

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!! My friend ordered from this company. I can vouch from the other reviews that the owner is incredibly rude and there is still a leak in one of their vehicles even though the review was made a YEAR AGO. my friend rented from them and their belongings were soaking wet! They tried seeking at least a refund even though they deserve more as 1000 of things were damaged but the owner just gave us cheek!

I’ve been hiring cars from Phil and Co for around 5 years now. Very decent and honest people providing amazing service and great value for money. Another review mentioned stone chips. I have hired many cars with stone chips and little dings and dents, when they say “we don’t worry about that” they truly don’t. I have never had a problem. The cars are lovely and new cars as well. Approx 10% of tImes when there is a quick turn around the vehicles are less clean, (a quick vacuum and it’s out again,) but I have never had a very filthy car in all these years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. 5/5
