Never done it before, seen many people doing it on beaches when partner was fishing and thought i would like to try this. So when I hit 65 years old this month my daughter bought me this for my present. I tried it and loved it. .

Great fun and great value
We signed up for a Taster Session with Jon & Rachel on the Marine Lake at Clevedon, it was absolutely brilliant. Jon explained everything from the Buoyancy Aids thru' the Paddles and Boards and we were soon on the water. Both Jon and Rachel kept a close eye on all of us and their explanations and suggestions on how to improve were superb. We are even now waking out when we can fit in our next session with them. If you're thinking about having a go at Stand Up Paddle Boarding, stop thinking about it and book a Taster Session with SUP Bath. It's great fun!
My 12 year old son and I went for our first ever SUP lesson at the Bath Paddleboard Centre. Jon gave us a thorough briefing prior to getting on the water which reassured me that we were both in good hands and that our safety was paramount. Once on the water Jon spent time explaining and demonstrating all that we needed to know to ensure that we had control of our boards and were safely up on our feet. I was surprised at just how quickly we were up and paddling along the river! Our lesson was very good value for money. Jon supplied us with excellent equipment and is a great instructor - He was exceptionally good with my son and was very patient with me! We have returned to join one of the social paddles, which was really fun and we were made to feel very welcome. The Shallows is a beautiful location for paddling and I found the whole experience extremely relaxing and rewarding. It was a great thing to do with my eldest son - quality time in the great outdoors and I would highly reccommend that you give it a go!
