Visited for sunday lunch. 3 of us had Roast Lamb shoulder; usual trimmings- roasties, potato/swede mash, carrotts etc with rich gravy and yorkshire pudd. Chose the 3 course option ; 3 large black pudding balls for me and a Chocolate Brownie / ice cream dessert later. some good ales. The ailway Porter\ was particularly good. Covid prevention rules in good order. A nice change for lunch in an eaterie with character.

Generous amount. However, with the size and weight of the dishes (and the price as well actually) you shouldn't have cut the cost by giving us only a very thin paper bag. Don't know if you're trying to be eco-friendly but if with the weight of your food, the bag was not strong enough and mine ended up broke in the middle of my way back home. All food failed on the ground. With the location, it difficult for every people to arrive at home within 15-20 mins and would be better if you have plastic bags at least in the rainy / snowy days. Might be a good choice to have in a sunny day by the riverside after the pandemic ends.
Recently used the click and collect for drinks, can't complain about the app and how to use it or the drinks. All good. Can complain about the guy serving, I arrived at 19.16 to collect my drinks, collection slot was 19.15 - 19.30. Waited until 19.25 and asked a female member of staff who was happy to get my drinks that were on the side waiting for me. While she was getting my drinks with a smile and great customer service. The guy commented in the least polite tone that they had been shouting that order out several times, they hadn't. Pity about one member of staff ruining my experience when everyone else was very pleasant.
Dog friendly. Brewery with great food and huge selection of keg and cask beers and ciders. Small outdoor area. Take AMEX too so wish small shop and Eat Out to Help Out, you can get 2-courses for 5! Great beers, highly recommended.
Lovely little pub and kitchen. Really friendly staff in both bar and kitchen. A great varied selection of beers- around 6 cask and 9 keg approximately. Plenty of cans and bottles in the fridge too. A great food selection, we had two starters, two mains and a dessert, all really tasty. They had a little side room with some games in, books to browse and cool decor generally. It is down some steps (I didn't notice any access for wheelchairs but can't say for absolute certain if there is this option), and there is on street parking available, some streets are permit only, some allow a couple of hours so check the signs! Thoroughly recommend.
