Small airport, so During this covid pandemic even though it was quiet, I thought they were not very organized .. I would not like to join the HERD/ MANDRIA in busier months .. It was Clean and spacious during my visit late October ..
The year is 2020. August. The time of covid. For some reason communications between the world and the Puglian authorities has still not broken through. So expect to queue from the exit of the plane to the terminal border check. Also beware - do you remember that homework detention you didn't attend in Year 7 - 9th Grade??? The 1970's Border checking database will. So expect to spend some time discussing this nonsense with the Border Police before being waved through. When you eventually do exit, just hope your luggage is still present as it will have done so many revolutions, a kind staff member will have removed it and placed it in a group for your collection. Note to any proud Puglian in charge - Stop letting the side down, get with the programme, read the memo and take charge. 1970 was a long time ago, Puglia is a tourist destination - no excuses.
It's ok. People are cooperative. Close to city centre.
Lovely little airport and well organised. Speedy passport check and baggage reclaim. Less pleased about the random temperature they were carry on people. Anyway at London Stansted airport from where I left not even that random check was in place.
