10 euro for bike rent is great way to see the nature and town surroundings. Able to communicate in English and great attitude. With locks and everything that you need.

We emailed Hitch Bike and asked for help getting boxes to package our bicycles for a flight, and a transfer from Brindisi to the airport. The boxes were there for us at the arranged time, and the transfer to the airport arrived at our apartment on time. The cost was reasonable and the people at the shop as well as our driver were friendly and helpful. Thank you, Hitch Bike!

Friendly and tried to help. Speak only Italian. The only place in Brindisi to rent a bike. I had an early winery tour booked 20km away and went there to get a bike as soon as they opened. It took 40 minutes to get the bike ready, as none was prepared for rental. They were inflating the tires, fixing breaks and gears... at some point 6 people were around that bike in passive participation whilst I was patiently waiting. Eventually left in rush to the winery. Then with every little bump in the road the the gears would somewhat jump and start breaking against the chain. I figured to do a few spins backwards for the gears to jump back into the right place. The back breaks were also ridiculously loud when I needed to break on stop signs going down the hill. Once I used them the noise persisted for few minutes. Since I went a long distance (continued to the cost), I needed to get to Francovilla Fontana top catch the bus to Brindisi. The 15 km ride in the dark without any lights was the most scary in my life, with cars coming against me on long lights and not able to see me. I know I should have checked everything carefully but after 40mins wait and being late to a booked activity it was too much. I'd have believed that professionals who make living out of it should provide safe bikes to their customers. Be warned and careful if you're considering renting from that place.

Bikes are 10 EUR a day but no organized tours. Didn't speak much English but tried to help.
