Racially insensitive and problematic. My boyfriend and I were visiting from London and came here as we heard it was a fun gay bar to go to. The lady at the door didn't let us in because there were too many people in the venue which was totally fine, we stayed and chatted with her for a while and she gave us great advice on where to go where it wouldn't be so busy. And as we were leaving, completely out of nowhere, she reached up and tried to touch my boyfriends dreads whilst saying \Aww can I just feel your.....\. In time, I reached and pushed her hand away. In 2020, are people really touching peoples hair??? Embarrassing and concerning, the bigotry of this situation was so off putting and she should know better. Your staff need some education.

Best evening ever. Small intimate venue. Great cabaret Sam Solace. Friendly, helpful and accommodating owner and staff. Everyone there ended up dancing and talking, and mixing in genuinely friendly way. A perfect evening for our hen. Thank you

Average backstreet bar good cabaret unfortunately marred by an aggressive older gentleman who serves behind the bar who verbally abuses customers would not under any circumstances recommend this bar
