My 6 years old was so scared due to dramatic past experience in the same swimming pool but thanks the wonderful teacher James she loves it now. He was kind, patient,supportive and professional to us. Because of this her fear of water is gone. I will highly recommend the Brighton swimming pool for kids who are not used to it and need encouragement. I hope they will be happy and satisfied as we are.

We had an intensive course in the summer of 2020 (during Corona). Really great! They're systems were really well thought out and the teacher was excellent. The bad reviews I think were from a while ago / different management. The guy running things now was great and my sons teacher was really good. My sons first swim lesson ever he said he thought it was eally fun\ and the teacher progressed him at a good pace.

Highly recommend Brighton Swimming School for child and adult swimming lessons and courses. My son has learnt to swim with BSS and I have had adult lessons and joined the pool2pier course. The swimming pool has now re-opened (post COVID-19 lockdown), with health-and-safety / social distancing measures in place. These are well organised, and we saw them being effectively implemented by staff. Staff are present to greet you when you arrive and take your temperature. Face masks are worn by adults and those 11 and over. There is a one-way route through the building, and a reduced number of people in the pool. Everything is very clean. My husband, myself and my son had a week intensive course in August 2020. We had a great (and exhausting) week!. Highlights have to be the staff, who really listen to what you want to achieve and adapt the lesson to meet your needs. They are skilled teachers, giving clear instructions and are really enthusiastic and positive about swimming, and we all made measurable progress. I think the best testament I can give you, comes from my son who, at the end of the week, asked me to book more swimming lessons.
Tried to learn front crawl at 40 years old and Nicky was a very good coach and patient / understanding. We had pretty much the whole pool to use and all the latest equipment to try drills. Not quite there yet but many new things to rehearse in own time. Thanks for all the help and support. Sam
