Lovely store, great products, friendly staff and great coffee shop upstairs. I struggle with why someone has left a negative review about goldfish in a bowl! Looks like a pretty big bowl to me!

Just made another purchase! As always Meryl & her daughter were most helpful and went well out of their way to arrange delivery. I am absolutely delighted with my new chair and footstool - thankyou for always making a visit a pleasure.
I noticed another review of this shop that mentioned that there was a Goldfish being kept in a very tiny bowl with no stimulus so I went in to investigate myself. Sure enough there are two goldfish being kept in an ornamental wine glass and there are no plants or stones - they are just swimming around in emptiness. It's really hard to believe nowadays that people don't realise how cruel this is. If it was a cute dog being confined there would be outrage but why don't people seem to care at ALL about goldfish? Animal lovers please boycott this shop until the owner stops this blatant cruelty.
