Always nice to visit this great seaside town. Wide, long promenade with sandy beaches. Good selection of seaside food (not only chips!). Working harbour is beautiful. Park & ride available which is helpful in busy times of the year.

Once a nice likeable harbour town, but now turned into a very commercial place with wall to wall chip shops, cafes, gift shops, amusement arcades, speed boat ridès and the odd descent pub, which is a sign of the times but in so many ways a shame. What bit of beach it's got is actually not bad and it's clean, but very busy around the amusement stretch of the sea front - it's like the place is trying to be Blackpool but crammed all in a smaller place. And this visit was while the social distance rules were still in place, so how packed it gets normally I hate to think
Very impressive Promenade with the usual seaside shops/ stalls. Too many amusement stalls. Gave the impression of a fairground, rather than an area to be enjoyed by all ages.
Love this sea front.such a nice place.lots of things to do.me and my wife can't wait to go back
Lovely beach. Many things to do on the waterfront. Mostly sand beach except their is a few stoned areas if your looking to relax this is the beach for you.
Love this beach. Big enough so it's never overcrowded. Safe as always has lifeguards on duty. Lots of places to visit close by. When it is warm and sunny there a few better places in England to be. However, parking has always been and remains a problem. Get there early as spaces are limited and disappear quickly.
Amazing beach. Plenty of room to explore and strech your legs
Lovely beach made all the better with the sunshine, The promenade is being modernised and is very mobility friendly. A good place for a day out with family. Defo recommended.
