After hanging on the phone for over an hour I finally got to speak to a receptionist who was very argumentative. Cardiologist had requested an appointment for blood pressure checks and a check on kidney function . I am not a doctor but I can read and I know that kidney function is done by blood test. However even though I was reading the letter to the receptionist, she insisted there was no request for a blood test. I was getting so frustrated in the end I gave up. After 5 minutes or so I re-read the letter from the Cardiologist and phoned back (another hold on the phone ) . This time I got SAM. What a difference!! She was polite, calm, and so helpful. Apparently.y she is new, well she could teach some of those older receptionists a thing or two. She is a credit to the surgery. Her telephone manner was extremely caring, and I can't praise her enough. Well done SAM you stopped me exploding with rage.

Absolute nightmare trying to phone and book an appointment, your be lucky to get through on the phone once in a hundred calls, yes 1% success! And the prescription line is no better Save time now and change doctors before its too late.

Dr Smallwood should not even be a doctor.. pains in your chest and left arm are warning signs.. but yet you sent a man home to die he was in his 50s had he seen a real doctor he might still be here.
