While serving active duty I donated to them money from every paycheck for many years, but when the time came that I had an emergency deployment with hours to get ready they rejected help to me because I had no children to cover. My spouse at the time needed this help due to unexpected circumstances of this situation. After this happened to me I stopped donating to them the rest of my time in the service.
