Revisely provides an online tool that teachers use to mark, correct, grade and give feedback on documents and is building a platform for correction as a service (CaaS). AI promises to save teachers and correctors further time in the future. IN A BIT MORE DETAIL Revisely aims to improve equal chances for students. Today, growing global shortages of qualified teachers are holding back students: they don’t get the feedback on documents that they need to improve. We solve this problem by reducing the workload of teachers and improving the quality of feedback to students. Thanks to Revisely's feedback tool, teachers can give more and better feedback on documents to students in less time. Teachers use our tool to easily add observations and feedback to the students’ papers, essays, letters and other documents, using Revisely’s built-in set of comments or writing their own. Our next step is what we call Correction as a Service (work in progress). This is all about spreading the correction workload over more correctors, or ‘expert sourcing’. This will benefit especially countries where the teacher shortages are not evenly distributed geographically, such as is the case in the Netherlands or the UK. Technology has the potential to further reduce the marking and correction burden for teachers and correctors by applying AI to signal problem areas in texts. Thanks to this, correctors’ work will improve in quality and speed while the cost of the feedback giving process is reduced.
