Decent hotel in a great area, right on the grote markt. The receptionist could be more friendly, more personable to guests. If a guest is speaking Dutch to you, you should speak Dutch to them. Please don’t automatically go to English. The guest could be trying to improve their Dutch. The rooms are small and clean, except for the carpet, time to get new carpet.

This hotel has excellent Service and for me it was a great hotel to stay during Carnaval. Next year I'll book the same hotel.
I apparently haven‘t been too lucky recently with picking hotels as the Stadshotel De Klok is another one I can only give three stars, despite my desire to do more. I had booked a superior room and it sure was big and probably comfortable, but so very cold. it was winter and i was freezing in my room, the heating on the highest setting could not warm it up. The room was big and so was the bathroom, but because of the cold it didn‘t feel comfortable. Getting to the room meant walking up a stair case that has seen better times, with very worn carpets. When I arrived I couldn‘t believe that reception would be inside the restaurant and while staff were friendly, they asked to pay right away and left me with the feeling that they had better things to do. On the brighter side of this review: Great location, right in the middle of the central square of town. Really good breakfast and the staff in the morning were much friendlier. The price also was right for what I got, so if you are looking for a centrally located, reasonably priced, decent hotel - this one might be for you.
Clean and modern rooms with an old fashioned touch. Very Cozy. Bathroom was a super small. Breakfast is not good because no fresh buns. Only these limp Dutch ones. Friendly staff and nice bar. What scores is the perfect location.
Small but comfortable rooms and amazing service
Beware the top floor room with no air conditioning overlooking the party street... the windows need to stay open otherwise it’s too hot and it’s noisy outside!
