Enjoyed a fascinating tour of Brechin Castle by Isobel, our guide, which lasted around an hour. Due to it being the family home it was full of lovely things including lots of photos which made it feel very warm and personal. The family paintings portrayed their interesting history which Isobel talked about with great enthusiasm. There were one or two querky items that were also pointed out. All in all it was a great tour and excellent value for money at 7 for adults. We visited the walled gardens afterwards which were beautiful and peaceful. It is a shame the Castle is being sold but let us hope it will be open to the public in the future. There are only a few days left to visit up until Sunday 30th June with tours operating at 14.00 and 15.15 only. If you want to have an enjoyable afternoon at Brechin Castle then you need to get there quickly before it closes.

Dalhousie estates rent houses run the estate and castle grounds which the gardens are open and castle tours are on in summer for a short period we'll worth a visit
