Food was delicious and the service was really good. But charging 2 euros for some extra salad that they offer next to the fromage... outrageous!

Update 05 2020: During the Covid19 outbreak, this restaurant is offering takeaway meals. I just ordered and had the meal at home... Literally the best takeaway meal I have had in my life! Well done to the chef! A must taste. Original review: Very tasty food, the weekday lunch menu is great served with seasonal vegetables. It is obvious a real chef is in the kitchen. The dishes are full of flavour and well balanced, a great place to go to if you want to treat yourself without breaking the bank. In the evening or during the weekend this menu is not available.

Friendly and helpful staff, wonderful local food, plenty of locals in there for lunch was a good sign and we weren't disapointed!

Have been reading the reviews online and all I can say is, we must have been there on the chef's night off! I have been coming to Normandy for 20 years and, honestly, the food in this pretentious cafe posing as a restaurant was the worst I've had in France! The waitresses are very nice and good at their job - but the 'chef' needs to go away and take cookery lessons, I kid you not! The fish and chips was disgraceful and in my 50 years cooking as a housewife in Ireland, I would be ashamed to hand anybody up that poor quality of a meal. We had our granddaughter with us who is vegetarian and, in the end, the only meal the chef could do for her was an omelette. She said it was good. But even my husband who never cooked in his life does a good omelette. Yes, they can talk a good menu and charge an exorbitant price but in the end - you get no better than a fast food joint!
