Very attentive wait staff. Our fish was beautifully pan fried with a slight crust. Delicious. Lemon tart was actually tangy, as lemon should be. And don't miss the gallery upstairs, a real hidden treat. So many talented local artists.

What a hidden gem this place is! Beautiful food, fantastic atmosphere, and wonderful staff made this a truly amazing dining experience. Our 3 course meal was without fault and absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back!

Restaurant serving NZ cuisine with local produce. Service was friendly and attentive Cosy and warm setting. Food was well presented and innovative, some of the flavours didn’t work together as a dish for me. I would suspect it’s one of the nicer restaurants in this area. Make sure you ring to book. Around NZ75pp for 3 course.
What an amazing place! One of the best restaurants in Taupo and North Island. Set up in a house, this restaurant has plenty of space to suit any party from 2 to 20. Wine list is pretty good, there is a fireplace by the bar where you can enjoy a glass or two. And the food - the food is just divine! There were 4 of us, and each plate, from starters to mains and desert - everything was unbelievable. I definitely recommend this place for a visit.
What can I say, the food, atmosphere and staff are all just tops. We had a lovely meal for 4 of and everyone just couldn't give enough praise to the food and service. Our waiter was professional, attentive and knew everything without having to go and ask. One of our group was veterinarian and found plenty of options. Deserts were made to perfection with the chocolate displaying a sheen that you very rarely see. Front of house were excellent, and again like the waiting staff showed true professionalism. The Brantry is reasonably priced and well worth the visit. Advice is check out the google street view first, as its not an easy address to find. Driving past you may think its a normal residential house.
