Lovely walk anytime of the year. Wildlife, views and when it reopens a cracking pub very close by too.
Nice place to get a bit of fresh air with pretty surroundings
I don't get the fascination honestly. You walk around the water but can't see it for the trees. The trees aren't scenic, it's not exactly a forest. If you come out onto the canal it's quite nice. It's not a massive place, you'd struggle to get miles in without doing laps.
I hadn't visited the water park for quite some years. I used to visit frequently and walk my 2 dogs at the time. I visited today with my young son and dog but have to say how disappointed I was to see how strict things were in terms of keeping my dog on a lead. I understand in some circumstances, that dogs need to be on a lead, particularly if they aren't too well behaved or unpredictable but it's a shame for those dog owners who have confidence that their dog won't cause any issues that they have to be restricted. The water park itself is lovely and worth a visit but wouldn't recommend to those who enjoy seeing their dog(s) walk freely.
